Abdominal Pelvic Scan

Ultrasound of the abdomen

An abdominal pelvic scan, is a rather frequent diagnostic procedure, that gynecologists perform on a day to day basis. Using the right ultrasound scanner to assess organs and structures within the female pelvis.

A pelvic ultrasound allows quick visualization of the female pelvic organs and structures including the uterus, cervix, vagina, fallopian tubes and ovaries. Hence the wireless ultrasound scanner the SIFULTRAS-5.2 is the most suitable model for an abdominal pelvic ultrasound.

The portable ultrasound device helps the practitioner Find problems with the structure of your uterus or ovaries, look for cancer in your ovaries, uterus, or bladder, find an intrauterine device (IUD). In addition, it helps them look for growths like noncancerous tumors, fibroids, or cysts, discover the cause of abnormal bleeding or pain, valuate or treat fertility problems…

The SIFULTRAS-5.2 does not only aid doctors in monitoring baby’s growth during pregnancy, Check for pelvic inflammatory disease (PID — an infection of your uterus, ovaries, or fallopian tubes), diagnose an ectopic pregnancy (a fertilized egg that grows outside of the uterus), but also find a tissue sample to remove from your uterus during an endometrial biopsy.

Although, pelvic exams may be performed in 2 methods : a transabdominal (through the abdomen) and a transvaginal (through the vagina). Which we’ll discuss in another article.
