Vein Finder Assisted Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

What is Blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty is a surgery meant to repair droopy eyelids and may involve removing excess skin, muscle and fat. As we get older, our eyelids stretch, and the muscles supporting them weaken. Consequently, excess fat may gather above and below our eyelids, causing sagging eyebrows, droopy upper lids and bags under the eyes.

Does an eyelid surgery include any risk?

-Irritated eyes
-Difficulty closing your eyes or other eyelid problems
-Noticeable scarring
-Injury to eye muscles
-The need for a follow-up surgery
-Risks associated with surgery in general, including reaction to anesthesia and blood clots.

Why should plastic surgeons use a vein finder during the surgery?

One of the things that can cause the complications mentioned above is related to vein finding. If the plastic surgeon is unable to properly see the veins to inject sedating or medical solutions, because of a certain skin condition, color or the age of the patient (e.g. Old), he/she will be obliged to insert the needle multiple types into the patient’s eyelid.

This is pretty harmful. However with the magical  device called SIFVEINSET-1.0 , the life of plastic surgery patients can be made easier.
It can also locate and avoid veins during cosmetic procedures like an eyelids surgery which can definitely minimize bruising. This vein viewer by SIFSOF helps to eliminate wasting needles, syringes, PICC and mid-line trays on stick after stick.

SIFVEINSET-1.0 is non-invasive because all it does is making use of light so you can see veins in subcutaneous tissue. It can be supported on a mobile trolley, which allows the plastic surgeon to release both hands and focus on the procedure.
Ever since it was launched, it has helped tens of thousands of patients to avoid unnecessary pain and suffering.
